About Us

We are a small family owned company dedicated to the development of outdoor products that help us survive harsh conditions. Our first products were designed for the extreme Texas heat because my son and I love being outside. We didn't want to throw away the summer days that are regularly over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, so we got to work. The first design we produced was a cooling vest with an integrated fan that blows cold air on the user...sort of like a mini air conditioner. This allowed us to take back the summer. When most parks are empty because it's too hot, we get the place to ourselves.

The Beginnings

We searched high and low for methods to handle Texas summers but could never find exactly what we needed. We wanted a cooling product that could work just as hard as we play, while surviving the elements. Ultimately, we had to create our own, and this kicked off the start of a family business.

The Prototypes

We designed and produced several prototypes before settling on our first design. There was a lot of learning and testing because we wanted good thermal performance as well as a comfortable product that will last. After several designs, we are proud to launch our first generation cooling vest.

The Test Phase

The final few prototypes went through a series of tests to ensure they would perform as desired. This test process was nearly a year long, which meant that during the winter we were testing in a mini sauna. We didn't stop at testing the temperature performance, this vest was used during workouts, manual labor, running and much more. We had to prove to ourselves that we were in fact as good as we set out to be.
